When you have found the right person, tap Hire. Yakka Labour creates the booking, sends the worker a push notification and an email with the job details, and moves them into your crew. Not a fit? Decline with an optional comment so nobody is left waiting.

Open the applicant
From the applicant pipeline, a worker profile or a chat, open the worker you want.

Tap Hire
The worker is booked onto the job and added to your hired list for that jobsite.

The worker is told straight away
They get a push notification, an in-app notice and an email with the job details.

Or decline politely
Tap Decline, add an optional comment, and the worker is notified so they can move on.
Invite workers who have not applied
Spotted someone in the directory or on the workers map? Use Hire to invite them to one of your published jobs and watch the invite move from Waiting to Accepted or Declined. You need at least one live job to send an invite.

FAQ
Can I hire someone who did not apply?
Yes. Invite them from the directory or the workers map to one of your published jobs. They can accept or decline the invite.
Do declined workers get told?
Yes. They are notified, with your comment if you added one.
Does Yakka charge a fee per hire?
Hiring through the app has no per-hire fee. Yakka’s optional managed hiring service, where our team finds workers for you, is quoted separately.
