-
What is Yakka Labour?
Yakka Labour is an Australian labour hire marketplace and app. Businesses use it to find construction, warehouse, cleaning and hospitality workers. Workers use it to find shifts, show their tickets, log hours and send invoices.
-
Is Yakka Labour the same as Hard Yakka?
No. Hard Yakka is a workwear brand. Yakka Labour is a separate company that runs a labour hire app. Both names come from “yakka”, Australian slang for work, but the two are not related.
-
How do I hire workers on Yakka Labour?
Post a job with the role, rate, hours and tickets you need, and workers with that skill are notified. Review applicants, compare them and hire in one tap. You can also browse the worker directory and request a quote or invite someone to your job.
-
How much does it cost to post a job?
Your first full job post is free. After that, each job post is a one-off A$25, shown before you pay. Quick job posts are always free, and there is no fee per hire. Our optional managed hiring service, where our team finds workers for you, is quoted separately.
-
Is Yakka Labour free for workers?
Yes. Workers can download the app, build a profile, apply for jobs, log timesheets and send invoices without paying for a subscription.
-
How do I find work as a labourer or cleaner?
Download the app and add your skills, tickets, suburbs and availability. Turn on job alerts to get a push notification when a job is posted for your trade, then apply from your phone and chat with the employer.
-
Are workers’ tickets and licences verified?
Workers upload their own tickets, such as a White Card or forklift licence, and they are shown on the profile as provided. Yakka Labour does not verify documents automatically, so check that each ticket is current and matches the person before work starts.
-
How do workers get paid?
The hirer and the worker agree the hourly rate in AUD. Workers turn approved timesheets into an invoice with their PayID or bank details, and the hirer pays by direct transfer. Payments are not processed inside the app.
-
How do I track hours and see who is on site?
Create a jobsite with its own QR code and a check-in zone. Workers check in on site, submit timesheets for your approval, and the live site monitor shows who is on site, on a break or checked out.
-
Where does Yakka Labour operate?
Australia-wide, with the most activity in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast. Post the exact suburb so nearby workers see your job.
