Job alerts for your trade, straight to your phone

Casual roles fill fast. Yakka Labour sends you a push notification when a new job is posted for one of the skills on your profile, so you see it while it is still open.

How it works

  1. Add your skills

    The trades on your profile decide which alerts you get. Add every skill you can do on site.

  2. Allow notifications

    Turn on notifications for the Yakka Labour app on your phone. Alerts are sent to the mobile app.

  3. Get alerted when a job is posted

    When an employer posts a job for one of your skills, you get a “New job published” notification. New quick posts in the Feed are sent to available workers with the matching skill.

  4. Open and apply

    Tap the alert to open the job and apply before it is filled.

Alerts follow your trade

Alerts are matched on skill, not on distance. Keep your skills up to date, and use the job board to filter by suburb and see the closest jobs first.

Make sure you are marked as available in your availability settings, as some alerts only go to available workers.

Be ready to say yes

Employers often book the first suitable worker. Have your tickets on your profile before the alert arrives, and read labour hire jobs for what employers look for.

Alerts are matched to the skills on your profile. To find work close to you, use the job board, which filters by suburb and sorts jobs by distance.

Do job alerts work on the website?

No. Push alerts are sent to the Yakka Labour mobile app on iPhone and Android.

How do I get more alerts?

Add every skill you can do to your profile and keep “available” switched on.
